Where the Down bit Starts Lyric
Great Danes ft Kimbra
2016
[Verse 1]
Well, do i scare you? Are you frightened?
No, but I'm tired
Are you not sleeping?
I'm sleeping but I'm sleeping on my own
[Pre-Chorus]
Is it wise to try and follow something we can barely swallow down?
Is it crazy just to stay put?
[Chorus]
It's like 2 enlightened hearts riding up the ridge of a ride that's stopped
And the top is where the down bit starts
[Verse 2]
Where are you? You seem distant, far away
Why? Because I'm quiet?
Well you're not speaking
That's 'cause I've got nothing left to say
[Pre-Chorus]
Is it wise to try and follow something we can barely swallow down?
Is it crazy just to stay put?
[Chorus]
It's like 2 enlightened hearts riding up the ridge of a ride that's stopped
And the top is where the down bit...
[Bridge]
Starts and stops and stalls you took the blame away
I never understood you
I do not understand
Why'd you have to push so far away from me?
And you don't have to leave here
And you don't have to stay
Why have you been acting like we're...
[Chorus]
2 enlightened hearts riding up the ridge of a ride that's stopped
And the top is where the down bit starts

Two adults, two kids, zero waste | Bea Johnson | TEDxFoggyBottom

Published on Jul 6, 2016
Do you have an excess of stuff? Do you take the trash out on a regular basis? Bea Johnson started a global movement advocating for a zero waste lifestyle. Here, she reveals how she and her family produce less than one quart of waste per year, and how living simply has changed her life for the better.
Since 2008, Bea Johnson and her family are dedicated to living a zero waste lifestyle; they generate a mere quart size jar of waste per year. Through her blog and her book Zero Waste Home, Bea launched a global movement and continues to inspire a growing community to take a stance against needless waste with the application of the 5R's: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot. She shatters misconceptions, proving that zero waste can not only be "stylish," but also lead to significant health benefits, and time and money savings.
Grand Prize winner of The Green Awards, she speaks at universities, corporate events and conferences internationally, and opens her home to educational tours and the media. She has appeared on TV shows and in publications around the world, from The Today Show to BBC Breakfast. With her passion and positive outlook, she has become a guru and spokesperson for the zero waste lifestyle or, as the New York Times stated, "The Priestess of Waste-Free Living."

The average American generates one ton of waste annually.
My family: one jar of waste per year since 2008.
Our journey started back in 2006; we read some books, watched some documentaries.
And what my husband and I found really made us sad thinking about the future we were going to leave behind for our kids.
So it gave us the will to change our ways.

In her presentation, Bea shares her tribulations and secrets to achieving Zero Waste. She covers the importance of applying her 5R's in order (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot) and shatters misconceptions, proving that the Zero Waste lifestyle can not only be "stylish", but also lead to significant health benefits, and time and money savings. She manages to talk about her personal journey with humour and without preaching. She brings an intimidating topic down to a manageable scale, lending a unique perspective and making Zero Waste less daunting. Her non-judgmental approach will inspire self-reflection and change. Bea talks about her lifestyle with passion and provides many practical solutions to living simply and reducing waste, but more importantly, finding happiness in our consumerist society.
Together with her family Bea Johnson doesn´t produce more than one jar full of junk each year. In her bestselling book „Zero Waste Home“ she explains the five principles of a home without waste: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot (and only in that order). Anyone who follows those principles will not only save more time, but also live a healthier life.

List of Famous People With ISTJ Personality
ISTJs are clear-sighted, logical, and efficient. They are planners rather than spontaneous, and prefer order and routine in their work and home lives. They value tradition, hierarchy, and clarity of purpose.

ISTJ PERSONALITY – CONCLUSION
Few personality types are as practical and dedicated as ISTJs. Known for their reliability and hard work, ISTJs are good at creating and maintaining a secure and stable environment for themselves and their loved ones. ISTJs’ dedication is invaluable in many areas, including their own personal growth.
Yet ISTJs can be easily tripped up in areas where their practical and methodical approach is more of a liability than an asset. Whether it is navigating interpersonal conflicts, confronting unpleasant facts, pursuing self-realization, or managing your workload, you need to put in a conscious effort to develop your weaker traits and additional skills.
ISTJ IN THE WORKPLACE
When it comes to the workplace, ISTJs are almost a stereotype for the classic hard-working, dutiful employee. In all positions, the ISTJ personality type seeks structure, clearly defined rules, and respect for authority and hierarchy. Responsibilities aren’t burdens to ISTJs, they are the trust that has been placed in them, an opportunity to prove once again that they are the right person for the job.
On the other hand, the change that comes with assuming those new responsibilities, or in losing old ones, is often a significant struggle for ISTJs. This presents itself differently in different positions of authority, but it is one of ISTJs’ most significant challenges to overcome. The usual insensitivity common to all Thinking (T) types is also a running theme here, something many people with the ISTJ personality type choose to focus on in their personal and professional development.
ISTJ CAREERS
While many personality types may be comfortable with flexible work as consultants and sole proprietors, ISTJs are much more focused on building long-term, stable careers. That’s not to say that ISTJs can’t do that sort of work – many find themselves thinking about what’s on the other side of those cubical walls – but what they crave is dependability, and that is reflected in their choice of work perhaps more so than in any other part of their lives.
ISTJ PARENTS
As parents, people with the ISTJ personality type are often the most comfortable. Their sense of responsibility and honor blends well with a tradition that has been in place since time immemorial: to raise one’s children to be respected, contributing members of home and society. As with most commitments, ISTJs do not take their roles as parents lightly, and will make it their work to ensure that this tradition is upheld to the highest standard.
This doesn’t always come easily for their children though, as ISTJs tend to be strict, with high standards and expectations. ISTJ personalities establish stable, clearly structured environments for their children, always with an eye on helping them to develop a sense of place in society, and to fulfill useful roles.
ISTJ FRIENDS
ISTJ friends are not spontaneous. They are not talkative, or particularly playful in their affection. What ISTJ friends are is loyal, trustworthy, honorable and dependable. Others may come and go with the ups and downs of life, but ISTJs stay by their friends’ sides no matter what, with a deepness of commitment that other types may not even believe is possible.
True Friendship Is a Plant of Slow Growth
ISTJs are a very methodical personality type, and this loyalty isn’t given away lightly. Often slow to make friends, ISTJs usually end up with a smaller circle, but they consider that circle to represent a promise to be there for the people they care about, and ISTJs’ promises are not easily broken.
ISTJ RELATIONSHIPS
ISTJs are dependable through and through, and this trait is clearly expressed when it comes to their romantic relationships. Often representing the epitome of family values, people with the ISTJ personality type are comfortable with, and often even encourage traditional household and gender roles, and look to a family structure guided by clear expectations and honesty. While their reserved nature often makes dating ISTJs challenging, they are truly dedicated partners, willing to devote tremendous thought and energy to ensure stable and mutually satisfying relationships.
ISTJ STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
ISTJ Strengths
- Honest and Direct – Integrity is the heart of the ISTJ personality type. Emotional manipulation, mind games and reassuring lies all run counter to ISTJs’ preference for managing the reality of the situations they encounter with plain and simple honesty.
- Strong-willed and Dutiful – ISTJs embody that integrity in their actions too, working hard and staying focused on their goals. Patient and determined, people with the ISTJ personality type meet their obligations, period.
ISTJ INTRODUCTION
ISTJ PERSONALITY (“THE LOGISTICIAN”)
My observation is that whenever one person is found adequate to the discharge of a duty... it is worse executed by two persons, and scarcely done at all if three or more are employed therein.
The ISTJ personality type is thought to be the most abundant, making up around 13% of the population. Their defining characteristics of integrity, practical logic and tireless dedication to duty make ISTJs a vital core to many families, as well as organizations that uphold traditions, rules and standards, such as law offices, regulatory bodies and military. People with the ISTJ personality type enjoy taking responsibility for their actions, and take pride in the work they do – when working towards a goal, ISTJs hold back none of their time and energy completing each relevant task with accuracy and patience.
15 Personality Characteristics of ISTJs
ISTJ is considered the most typical personality type, and it makes up around 13% of the population. If you have ever taken the Myers-Briggs personality test and have been defined as an ISTJ, here are your most common traits with a detailed look at your personality.
1. The defining characteristics are integrity, practical logic, and dedication to duty. This makes ISTJs a solid cornerstone to many families.
2. Organizations that are responsible for upholding traditions, rules, and standards benefit most from these personality types and are likely found in law enforcement, law offices, engineering, industrial maintenance, quality control, and military careers.
ISTJ (Part #2)
By Michael Pierce
ISTJs have been commonly nicknamed the “inspectors” or sometimes the “duty fulfillers,” given the stereotype in the Jungian community, as far as I have seen, of a rather boring worker bee satisfied to meticulously “inspect” and maintain all the boring detailed systems underlying society – in essence, an unambitious and short-sighted INTJ. This stereotype is far enough from the truth that the majority of people who get ISTJ on the MBTI test report that they don’t relate to their type description. ISTJ preferences merit far greater appreciation and respect than the nickname “inspector” produces.
ISTJ (Part #1)
"There are people who do not do anything as it ought to be done. These people are really no better than children."
ISTJs at a Glance
Serious, responsible, and thorough.
Prudent, factual, and logical.
Take responsibility and carry it especially well.
Are extremely thorough and notice slips and oversights that are not obvious to others.
Have a preference for the long term and may look down on fads and fashions.
ISTJs as They Typically Are
ISTJs are methodical and conscientious thinkers who care tremendously about quality and examining things in depth. They tend to critically observe and inspect the things in their environment in order to see whether things and facts add up. When they don’t, ISTJs are often able to put their finger on exactly where and why something is fishy in a way that is not entirely unlike that of a master detective or examiner. For this reason, ISTJs frequently end up in positions of leadership, where they tend to pay special attention to long-term goals, quality control, proper procedures, and accountability.
